The Gravel Pit Vineyard is located on the banks of the San Joaquin River. The soil in this abandoned gravel pit lends itself to the terroir of this unique growing location. The stress of these growing conditions results in a grape with concentrated Syrah characters. Aged for 30 months in American Oak barels, leaving a hint of vanila and a solid structure to the back ground of smoke and berries. A must have for any Syrah drinker.
