When we first bottled our Bordeaux blend of %67 Cabernet Franc, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon and %12 Malbec, we struggled coming up with a name for such an amazing wine. While giving a tour to a group of French tourist one gentleman leaned over and put his ear to one of the fermenters and said, "Chantant" in his French accent. Not knowing the French language we were confused, he explained he was listening to the grapes sing as the CO2 bubbles popped on the top of the fermenting grapes. Immediately we knew the name of our Central Valley Bordeaux inspired wine could be none other than, Chantant.
